Engage, equip and enable isolated caregivers 55+ to access recommended online information, resources, and programs. SNGs also provide opportunities for caregiver group socialization, discussion, and learning using hand-held tablet technology.

E.L.A (Eat, Learn and be Active) is an 8 week course designed to help senior caregivers and their recipients use technology to better manage their health. The program integrates a variety of health service providers into the program to reinforce key concepts.

The SKILL Group (Socialization and Knowledge for Isolated caregivers in remote Locations through digital Literacy), brings together small groups of caregivers in four 40 – 90 minute sessions offered weekly as preparation to ensure that caregivers have the skills needed to take part in any Reitman Program delivered online. to learn basic digital literacy skills prior to joining an online program. Caregivers who complete a SKILL Group will also learn about and have access to an online secured skills enhancing platform.

Through a partnership with Youth Empowering Parents, caregivers are matched with youth volunteers who provide tutoring in computer and social media skills. Participants can opt for individual computer tutoring through the Friendly Visiting Program.
