CONNECTION TO SERVICES

Is an 8 week course designed to help senior caregivers and their recipients use technology to better manage their health. The program integrates a variety of health service providers into the program to reinforce key concepts.

Students and volunteers will provide system navigation and general supports to caregivers in the community (such as support with shopping or non-medical escort). Navigators will provide a map of service offerings related to supports for the caregiver or the care recipient depending on the situation.

Settlement workers provide community services including housing, health, employment supports to newcomer caregivers and their families.
